It’s a piece of metal that you spin… that’s it! “It’ll help children with ADHD pay attention” so will signing their hyper asses up in sports to run the energy off. All it is is a marketing ploy for a company. Here’s something surprising, schools are banning them because students are NOT paying attention! I have ADHD my nephew has it as well, because he is to young to give medication to his mother tried a fidget spinner, the school promptly took it away because he was doing WORSE. I’ll admit to buying one just to are what the fuss was about… it’s stupid!

I refused to buy one for my 12 year old daughter when they first came out because I took one look at them and thought “this POS is gonna CAUSE fidgeting in kids that don’t actually have a problem sitting still and paying attention”. Then my neighbor, who happens to be a teacher, bought my daughter one. AHHH!!!!

They are now a “collectible” item. My boyfriend’s daughter is 8 years old and has a dozen or so of them that she keeps at her mother’s (thank God). They are annoying and atrocious and cause far more disruption than anything else. They seriously jack my anxiety to peak levels!

My son does not have one…yet. I am sure he will eventually get one. It may not help ALL kids but I am sure it would help many. My son fiddgets with many things. It is something he has done since he was a child. He actually has A.D.D….not the I just need to go outside and get exercise urges. He also has two sleep disorders. Fidgeting is a must for him. I helps keep him focused and awake.
