I just had an afternoon rant about participation trophies… They are supposed to be for acknowledging outstanding accomplishments, recognizing hard work and setting those who excel due to determination, ass busting kids/people to recognize exceptional behavior. NOT for the ones that do the bare minimum, ride others coattails, don’t put the time, effort and sweat in to EARN it but get it anyway because, you know, they can’t get their snowflake feelings but and be left out, which if they would have put the time in would have earned it. But no, the deserving kids who bust their asses to excel, get lumped in and rewarded along with the ones who didn’t give a f*ck. Where’s the incentive to go above and beyond and do the best you can if you’re not even going to be recognized for it?
