I just heard a mother tell her 6 year old son “good job” for getting a drink of water out of a water fountain. Really?!? Is this what parenting has come to? Over and over again this has become the norm. Come on parents save the “good jobs” for the important events. Don’t condition your kids to look for approval and complements in every daily event. Give them a chance to earn it and actually feel some real self satisfaction.
